Certain shots/ encounters during the project

As stated In the last post, this production process was no joke but we all had fun doing it. It took almost 2 weeks to finish since there was conflict in our group. We decided to put all that to the side, and start getting this work done. Then we realized that this was fairly easy to film and did not even take 3 days to film. With the help of the story board, finding out the camera shots was really easy to use. We used shots such as medium shots, close up shots, extreme close up, and high angle shots to show meaning in our clips. There were many difficulties during production and even throughout this whole entire project. Some of the difficulties can include, the clips deleting, people forgetting their lines, redoing the script. I think the most difficult part was probably when the people who were assigned to do certain things did not do them. For example, I gave a group member who was on the verge of getting kicked out a VERY important task, and she did not deliver until last minute. We were all in distress wondering if she would come through or fold under pressure. So we waited, waited, and waited, and still there was nothing. We were worried and angry to the T but I decided to have faith in my teammates and hope and hope that she will prevail. This Wednesday morning, on March 17th, 2021, I got to see the final product. I was extremely impressed and proud of what the team I am in has accomplished

Decision

What kind of movie am I trying to make? I want to make a drama/ comedic movie that teenagers can relate to. Movies such as mean girls where the new girl wants to fit in with the more popular girls. This happens all the time in real life, especially in high school. Or just like the 2010 movie street dreams about a teen who goes through many hardships in his life and tries to go pro in skating. Although that's not what his parents want him to do, he does it anyways since that's what he enjoys that. As a teenager your parents may want you to be a doctor, engineer, architect, or something that just makes a lot of money. Even though you may want to do something else, you feel as if you must obey your parents, which is what is happening in this movie. As I said earlier my intended audience will be teenagers because I am making something that they can relate to. I will get them to see this movie by producing something that grabs their attention. Such as leaving a cliff hanger in the b...

Case study

This case study was a rough and vigorous task since it was very hard to retain information. The 5 parts of the case study (History/target audience, production, distribution,  marketing, cross media convergence and synergy) all of these parts make up a case study. How did I do this? Well first you get the film of your choice that relates to the genre you are doing, I chose the classic film "Mean girls" After that you start dong research on all 5 of those topics. You may be able to find a couple blogs relating on how to do and find these very few parts. But make sure your websites are credential and legit. You do not want to be using websites such as Wikipedia to gain information. This websites information can be altered by anyone who chooses to do so. Once I retained all the information from my research, I started to form my case study. You can either do a power point, word document, or a video. I chose to do a PowerPoint since it is easier to divide those 5 topics. Then you ...
Say if me and my team are successful in convincing the production company of your choice to endorse your film. But how can you " sell" you film and make back everyone's money plus a little bit more. This is a great question to ask yourself. Well first you have to start promoting your film, you can not just drop a film without promoting . No one will know about your film if you do not promote it. The way Netflix promotes things is very unique. Say they are trying to promote a new movie coming out soon, they will put it on every single platform they can. Platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, and even Spotify. And you see or hear that ad every single time you open one of those platforms and eventually give in. With all of this promoting I am 100 percent certain that people would want to see it and share with friends and family. And with those techniques I am able to make my investors money back and even more than that. Now comes in the distribution companies. Companies such...
