Certain shots/ encounters during the project

As stated In the last post, this production process was no joke but we all had fun doing it. It took almost 2 weeks to finish since there was conflict in our group. We decided to put all that to the side, and start getting this work done. Then we realized that this was fairly easy to film and did not even take 3 days to film. With the help of the story board, finding out the camera shots was really easy to use. We used shots such as medium shots, close up shots, extreme close up, and high angle shots to show meaning in our clips. There were many difficulties during production and even throughout this whole entire project. Some of the difficulties can include, the clips deleting, people forgetting their lines, redoing the script. I think the most difficult part was probably when the people who were assigned to do certain things did not do them. For example, I gave a group member who was on the verge of getting kicked out a VERY important task, and she did not deliver until last minute.

Production process

Throughout this production process, not many types of technology were used. Since our cameras never came in, we had to be creative and use whatever we had. In the group i was in we simply used our phones to film and our computer to edit the shots to our liking. This was not really hard since the quality came out perfect and so did our shots. I personally learned that lighting plays an extremely important role in making a quality production. The lighting where he had to film was relatively dark, so we had to use certain camera angles to make the lighting a little bit brighter. The shot types that were used also had an effect on what the lighting would look like. In order to use our equipment properly, I had to watch dozens on top of dozens of videos to make sure that we produce a quality piece. These videos explained how to use the camera, how to edit, even how to hold the phone. These videos were actually a lot of help and I am very glad that I did watch them. I asked my teacher how i

Decisions on sound, lighting Etc

This right here is something I failed to realize. Some questions to ask would be, what sounds would my film use?, would they be diegetic or non- diegetic sounds?, would there be narration?, these are some questions that come to mind when thinking about sound. If you ever watched a teen movies made in the early 2000s, you can see how almost all of them have narration. Narration helps give background information to the audience. For example if the characters engage  conflict, the narration can give you knowledge on why this is happening or how did it start. Music can also help with the film as well. If you are doing a horror film you would use a low pitched sound, causing a eerie feel amongst the audience and setting the mood to how you want it to be. In our case we would put music that brightens up the mood, such as pop music to show how high school (in movies) really are. If we play some low music leading to silence, this foreshadows that something may happen just about now, or maybe

Production/filming schedule

In order to be ready for production, you must have a schedule. This schedule will contain what day you will be filming a certain scene, what scene it is, and the projected time when it starts and when it finishes. This schedule will help keep everything organized so when film day comes, everything will be smooth and not take a extremely long time. This schedule should not take a extremely long time to do. However, in my group someone was assigned to do it and is not answering so it might take a little bit more time. A tip that would be very helpful in your group would to make sure you can contact your team members at all times. In times where on group member may not be able to do some, you must be able to contact them to help fix this issue. This film schedule plays a main role with production alongside casting. Every single movie that you have seen, the producers made a film schedule. This keeps them organized and can guarantee that they will finish their film in the projected time t

Casting consideration and choices

Casting can be a very difficult thing to do. You must be able to find people who will take their duty seriously and have some acting skills, Although we have not have started to cast, I have some ideas that I will present to my group this week. I have a few people in mind who will be a perfect fit for this task. Group member Kayla will actually be a actor in this film opening while the others will be editing and filming. Casting this week will actually be a great choice since we start production on the 22nd of February. If we can gather up a cast by Wednesday or Thursday, actors will be given time to memorize and act out their lines. The actors we choose must be good at memorizing since they have a short time to memorize their lines. So on film day we have a smooth transition and an easy production process. There is a couple of things we need to acknowledge before we start to cast. Things such as how should we do this casting process, where should the casting take place, how we would

Location and scouting process

This process was rather easy since the genre of our film is based of high school students. What's amusing is when we first started this project, we started crafting ideas in a library and sure enough one of our scenes is in the library. We were confused whether we should do scenes outside the school to give a tad bit more background information on the main character the group they are in. But we ended up coming with the conclusion that we could not do this scene and here is why, Noting that we only have 2 minutes to do the opening and include the opening sequence, we would be pressed for time and would not be able to put everything we need to put. A major issue that we have based off our location is when we would be able to film. Since our location is in a school and some people have extracurricular activities that they need to do. By creating a schedule, we can be organized and have everything needed in the set time that we need to do this by. Although we did get one of the locat
