Say if me and my team are successful in convincing the production company of your choice to endorse your film. But how can you " sell" you film and make back everyone's money plus a little bit more. This is a great question to ask yourself. Well first you have to start promoting your film, you can not just drop a film without promoting . No one will know about your film if you do not promote it. The way Netflix promotes things is very unique. Say they are trying to promote a new movie coming out soon, they will put it on every single platform they can. Platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, and even Spotify. And you see or hear that ad every single time you open one of those platforms and eventually give in. With all of this promoting I am 100 percent certain that people would want to see it and share with friends and family. And with those techniques I am able to make my investors money back and even more than that. Now comes in the distribution companies. Companies such
Everyone may seem like making films may be easy. You get a cast, direct, promote, then BOOM you have a movie. But that is not it once so ever. There are many difficult parts and that includes in convincing a production company to finance your film. If you have a fear of talking to people or your shy then this is not for you. You must show your story line, script, how you plant to budget and etc. This may be the hardest part because without a production company to indorse and invest in your film, you would wither have nothing or have to start from scratch. Which means you would have to do your own, producing, casting, promotion, and the main part... you would have to pay for everything. There are three things you must do in order to be prepared with showing your Film proposal to a production company. 1. Start developing your film proposal. In this process you would set out the structure of how your film would be. Things such as film synopsis, the log line, screen play structure, the ch

Production companies are very important in film. Production companies can help with budgeting, scheduling, scripting, and more. Some famous companies can be Warner Bros, Sony pictures, and Columbia pictures. But which film company specializes in films similar to mine? Some but not all may be Paramount pictures, Netflix, and Warner bros. All of these films companies have made terrific films that are recognized across the world, But i feel like Netflix and Warner bros would be the best choices. Netflix has made many hit shows and movies in my genre and so have the Warner bros. These Production companies can provide the best actors needed, the best directors, props and etc. Since they have much experience with my genre ( drama/ comedy teen movies) this should not be a problem at all. You may be wanting to ask, Do I want a independent company or a large company like the ones I have stated. I feel as if you should support independent company, Larger companies have more experience and every
In some movies there can be a lot going on in just a two minute film opening. Sometimes its just filled with action but then gives a explanation later or vice versa. In the genre I want to do, there isn't really a lot of action in most cases. Most of the time it has a little action then narration or narration explain what is about to happen. For example the opening for season one on the show "On My Block" there is not a lot of action neither narration but this scene introduces the main characters and the side characters in the show. Or in the Disney Drama/ comedy " Let it shine" where the filmer uses close ups, establishing shots, master shots, to show what is happening. Although there is not a lot of action in the scene, it shows some of the main characters. Or in the 1997 movie "clueless" which does not include a lot of action but similar to other movies in my genre it does include narration. This scene includes a variety of establishing shots, and c
In the opening sequence of other films in my genre, the opening usually has a wide arrangement of items in it. If you do not know by now the genre, I am going for is drama/comedy that teens can relate to. Usually in teen movies in her early 2000 such as Mean girls or bring it on, it usually has the exact same type of opening just with different characters. Almost all the time you may see the protagonist which is usually a new student at a school get ready, go on a drive with music playing while the opening credits may appear. The 2000 film "Bring It On" has quite a unusual opening scene. The main character (or protagonist) appears to be cheering on a cheer team with her squad. All of the cheer members seem ecstatic while reciting their choreography. One by one the camera goes to different people, foreshadowing that they may be some of the side characters but have a major impact. Towards the end of the cheer the main character has a embarrassing moment when one of her article&

What kind of movie am I trying to make? I want to make a drama/ comedic movie that teenagers can relate to. Movies such as mean girls where the new girl wants to fit in with the more popular girls. This happens all the time in real life, especially in high school. Or just like the 2010 movie street dreams about a teen who goes through many hardships in his life and tries to go pro in skating. Although that's not what his parents want him to do, he does it anyways since that's what he enjoys that. As a teenager your parents may want you to be a doctor, engineer, architect, or something that just makes a lot of money. Even though you may want to do something else, you feel as if you must obey your parents, which is what is happening in this movie. As I said earlier my intended audience will be teenagers because I am making something that they can relate to. I will get them to see this movie by producing something that grabs their attention. Such as leaving a cliff hanger in the b
